Why We Chose Engineered Hardwood

We chose engineered hardwood for its perfect balance of durability, beauty, and longevity. It’s strong enough to handle the everyday wear of family life, but still has that natural wood grain and warmth I love so much.

I wanted something that looked more authentic than laminate and LVP, though I’ve heard amazing things about LVP’s durability — especially for homes with kids and pets! For us, engineered hardwood was the happy medium: classic and practical all in one.

The Color We Chose

Our flooring color is Jute Hickory, and I can’t say enough good things about it. The tone is warm and natural, tying in beautifully with our wood ceilings and beams throughout the house. It has that timeless, cozy feel that flows so well with the rest of our warm neutral palette.

Where We Installed It

We installed our engineered hardwood flooring in the main living areas of our open-concept home — the living room, hallways, foyer, dining room, and kitchen. It helps all of the spaces feel connected and cohesive while adding warmth underfoot.
