Meet Mel
Hi! I'm Melissa, the face behind Coryell Home, and I'm so happy you're here!
I’m a nurse turned home design enthusiast, SAHM, and homeschool mama. You will always find me in my favorite house slippers and coffee in tote, although I do love a fancy outfit moment! I’m a wife, and mama to two little girls (with baby girl #3 joining us in February!).
We built our home in 2020 while expecting our first daughter. It was during our build that I discovered my joy to make pretty spaces! My father-in-law owns a framing company and it was incredibly special that he was able to frame our house for us. On my off days, I would pull up a chair at our land and watch the framing process - watching everything come together wall by wall, beam by beam was so exciting!
Once we moved in, I found myself drawn to decorating each room with purpose, choosing pieces that were both timeless and functional. I wanted our home to feel calm, cozy, and truly “us,” and over time, that intentional approach turned into something I enjoyed documenting to connect with and share with others who enjoy creating beautiful spaces the same!
Today, I share my journey of making our house into a warm, inviting home, one thoughtful detail at a time. From seasonal décor refreshes to classic styling tips, my hope is to help you create a space you love coming home to, no matter your budget or style.
